- Answering face-to-face, phone and email inquiries.
- Recording and file company transactions.
- Monitoring and updating office supplies and equipment inventory.
- Taking minutes of meetings and facilitating employee correspondence.
- Scheduling appointments, company events and deliveries.
- Coordinating employee workload and schedule.
- Executing other tasks as directed by management.
How to become an Administration Clerk
A bachelor degree is usually required to work as an Administration Clerk. This is typically an entry-level job, but prior experience through school organisations or volunteering is an advantage.
Graduate with a bachelor degree in business administration, human resources, or another related degree.
Complete an internship in the administrative department of a recognised company.
Gain clerical experience by joining school organisations, volunteering for charities and events, or taking a part-time job at a local business.
Master clerical skills through learning on the job with repetition.
Get promoted to higher positions such as Administrative Officer and Administration Manager.
