Tasks and duties

• Analysing the purchase needs of an organisation and determining the necessary goods or services required.
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders and contracts in accordance with procurement specifications.
• Managing relationships with vendors and suppliers and resolving any arising issues.
• Evaluating potential suppliers, considering factors such as price, quality and that they meeting the needs of an organisation.
• Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible value for an organisation.
• Maintaining records of purchases, pricing and other important data.
