Property Developers identify opportunities in land and property and add value to these by converting them to other uses such as homes, malls, or business offices. They work with consultants and contractors and liaise with government offices regarding design and permits. As project managers, they control costs and address funding needs, and market the developed property to buyers.

How to become a Property Developer
You can become a Property Developer without a formal qualification, however some employers may prefer candidates with relevant training and background in architecture, civil engineering, construction management, real estate, or property.
- Complete a bachelor degree in architecture, civil engineering, or construction management. Or complete a course in real estate or property. This will allow you to acquire an understanding of the property development process.
- Apply to work in property development firms to gain industry experience.
- Build credibility by handling bigger and different projects.
- Some property developers choose to be entrepreneurs and embark on development projects independently.
