What's it like to be a Paramedic?
Paramedics travel to patients in urgent need to provide immediate care and transport them to the hospital as quickly as possible. They conduct first aid such as CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and bandage wounds. They are the frontliners of assessing the patient's condition and recommending the urgent course of treatment.

How to become a Paramedic
Being a Paramedic involves having a high level of medical training in life support and emergency medical assistance to help patients in critical situations. Extensive training and sufficient experience in emergency situations will help you progress to higher positions such as medical or physician assistant.
- Complete an associate degree or diploma in paramedic or health science with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Get certified in first aid from a recognised training centre.
- Hold a driver’s licence.
- Get an internship at a hospital where you can gain on-the-job experience.
- Consider continuing education in health sciences to update your skills for evolving medical practices.
