Chiropractors are medical practitioners who can guide a patient’s body to recovery without the interference of drugs or surgery. By applying manual force, they correct spinal problems and injuries. While spinal adjustments and manipulation are what they are most known for, their expertise also includes resolving ailments concerning ligaments, tendons and nerves. How to become a Chiropractor
Chiropractors need extensive education and experience to become a licensed treatment provider.
- Complete a bachelor degree in biology, sports science, kinesiology or a related field that will allow you to progress to chiropractic school.
- Obtain a licence. A series of exams from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) must be completed. After passing these national tests, you can apply for a licence in your state.
- After gaining experience, consider choosing a specialty. Various certifications are available in chiropractic specialties, such as acupuncture, sports medicine, developmental disorders, paediatrics, and radiology.
