JMC Specialist Medical Centre or formally knows Klinik Damo & Pusat Bersalin was founded by Dr. Damodaram Christhoper Kuppusamy. A well known private specialist maternity hospital in the heart of Klang which started in December 1983 with only 14 beds and running with only 1 doctor, 1 anesthetist, 2 staff nurses and 9 nursing aide. On April 2010, JMC opened its new wing, providing more specialist services through highly skilled practitioners which include Eye, Orthopedic, E.N.T, Medical Laboratory, Accident and Emergency Department and Imaging Department. Today JMC has 26 beds in the ward, and 12 beds in the Operation Theater and ICU. Birth statistic from 1995 – 2009 has shown 16653 babies were born here.
