Human Resources

This department is in charge of overseeing an organisation’s lifeblood—its people. When preparing your cover letter, make sure to include the following information:

  • Any internship experience in the Human Resources department of a company
  • Any HR-related tasks you took part in in your college organisation or school board
  • A degree in a Human Resources

Marketing

If bringing a product to market and advertising it is up your alley, then explore a career in Marketing. Working in this field requires extensive knowledge of the current and emerging market trends to help an organisation further its business. To qualify and stand out, include the following in your letter:

  • Any marketing internship, whether in a small- and medium-size enterprise or a corporation
  • If you have no internship credentials, experience in a marketing-related department in your college organisation or school board will suffice
  • Participation in a marketing competition is a plus

Sales

Working in Sales means achieving targets set by the company. As part of the team, you are also expected to come up with enticing offers that translate to product purchase or service subscription. To ace that job interview, do not forget to list these down in your cover letter:

  • Any sales experience or internship
  • A degree in Business Management or any sales-related course
  • Targets achieved in sales-related projects
