HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad was locally incorporated in 1984 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the HSBC Group. HSBC in Malaysia has a network of 50 branches nationwide, of which 8 are Islamic finance branches. In 2006, HSBC was the first foreign bank to be awarded a Takaful (Islamic insurance) licence in Malaysia. HSBC Amanah Takaful (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a joint venture between HSBC Insurance (Asia Pacific) Holdings Limited (49% shareholding), Jerneh Asia Berhad (31% shareholding) and Employees Provident Fund Board of Malaysia (20% shareholding), commenced operations in August 2006. In 2007, HSBC Bank Malaysia was the first locally incorporated foreign bank to be awarded an Islamic banking subsidiary licence in Malaysia, and HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad, a full fledged Islamic bank wholly owned by HSBC Bank Malaysia, commenced operations in August 2008.

Branch Manager Sibu
Sarawak

Job responsibilities:

To plan and manage the branch to achieve growth, financial, operational, risk and sales and service targets
To develop targets and establish plans to proactively drive sales and service for the branch
To consistently identify customer needs, review and provide product solutions to customers
To create positive staff morale, motivation and manage staff proactively
To monitor the branch’s legal and regulatory compliance
To ensure effective implementation of audit standards at the branch

Job requirements:

At least 5-8 years of experience in similar management capacity
Minimum Degree in Business or other related qualifications
Excellent communication and networking skills
Ability to lead a team and business oriented
Self-motivated and results oriented
Good organisation and planning skills.
Experience in financial services products is an added advantage
