Training Manager

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with Operations Director, Operations Manager and Site Managers, develop on the job training schedules that meets operating objectives.
  • Ensure that all new employees attend Sodexo Induction program
  • Conduct training needs analysis of units/departments.
  • Design, produce and implement training programs to meet specific unit needs.
  • Prepare and administer the training calendar on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all staff receives ongoing training in Sodexo Standard Training programs.
  • Facilitate staff activities and employee relations programs.
  • Source and obtain specialist assistance to conduct training when needed.
  • Monitor all skill training activities conducted on and off site.
  • Administer the training budget and purchase training materials as required.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Ensure that all staff complies with the grooming and uniform standards.
  • Ensure compliance with legislated heath and safety requirements within the workplace.
  • Comply with all Sodexo Standards and Procedures.
  • Promote by example the principles of “The Power of Service”.
  • Actively promote a work environment, which cares for guests and colleagues alike.
  • Manage the administration of trainees and apprentices on sites.
  • Ensure the communication flow for associates through various tools i.e. notice boards
  • Plan, implement and monitor employee training, development and allied activities to enhance individual and organization’s performance and skills advantage.
  • Evolve learning, development strategy and road map.
  • Identify employee development needs and address these by different learning methodologies, such as e-Learning, Classroom training, Workshops and Lecture-Demonstration
  • Plan, develop, and implement internal and external training programs.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and follow up on developmental activities.
  • Coordinate employee development activities with operations.
  • Support Operations on training needs analysis and development initiatives.
  • Produce the Monthly Employee Newsletter
  • Reports to the Country Human Resources Manager

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, Human Resource Management, Training & Development or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): Good platform and communication skills, good written English & Bahasa Malaysia & Well Disciplined.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Preferably Managers specializing in Training & Developement/Education from the hospitality industry would be a great advantage.
  • 1 Full-Time position available.
