TH Alam Management (M) Sdn Bhd, an integrated oil and gas offshore services provider invites suitably qualified candidate to join us for the position of :
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
To manage the overall recruitment, logistics and administrative of all sea staff of the vessels.
- Manage, supervise and lead the crewing team devising/maintaining training budgets, performing appraisals, liaising with charterers, handling crew disciplinary issues, coordinating with P&I clubs for claims, and appoint/monitor performance of marine agents locally/worldwide.
- Develop/review, implement and maintain policies and procedures for recruitment, retention, appraisal, disciplinary and training of crew.
- Review and appoint manning agencies. Monitor their performance and compliance with company as well as legislative requirements.
- Approve selection of candidates and ensure fleet manned with qualified and competent seafarers at all times.
- Approve seafarers’ contracts and crewing department expenditures.
- Provide induction, familiarizations to all seafarers.
- Ensure all seafarers are paid on time.
- Formulate annual crew budget, analyze and report on variance and prepare costing for projects.
- Maintain good relations and constant communication with seafarers and attend to their grievances.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree holder with relevant experience in marine or crew recruitment and preferably with experience in Human Resource Management.
- Strong knowledge of offshore industry.
- At least 5 years in managerial role with ability to interact with all levels in an organization.
- Firm and pleasant personality and ability to handle crew problems and grievances.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Fluent written and oral English and Bahasa Melayu.
