Technical Lead (Java) - Cheetahmail
(Cyberjaya)
Responsibilities:
Summary:
As a technical lead, you will be responsible for delivering high quality development as an output of a development team to design, develop and maintain software programs in accordance to requirements and specifications, established or defined quality and performance standards, and within delivery timeline. This is achieved through close collaboration with all the team members.
This position emphasizes on driving technically on a web application development using Java, with a strong focus on object-oriented MVC pattern programming. This role would require you to be familiar with JEE and Spring architectures, design patterns and best practices. The systems in question are high performance, high volume and high availability, requiring a good understanding of large multi-machine systems with attention to detail married with sensitivity for performance.
Key Responsibilities:

You will be technically leading a high performing team of software developers to design, develop and maintain the next generation high volume, digital marketing platform using high performance open source and proprietary tools:

In accordance to requirements and specifications.

Within established or defined quality and performance standards.

Within agreed upon delivery timeline.

Developing code in Java to facilitate the delivery and reporting of industry leading volumes of email.

Provide feedback and technical support for the projects/programs your team works on, and interacting with Project Managers, Product Analysts, QA Project Leads and others to ensure successful delivery of the same.

Working with members of the Product Development group to ensure high fidelity with stakeholder vision.

Collect work progress and all (work related) pertinent information in an accurate and timely manner from the developers.
Requirements:

Possess a Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
-
At least 8 years of working experience in commercial Java software development.

Significant commercial development experience with the following technologies:
-
Java Enterprise Edition 5
-
JavaScript UI (JS/ExtJs/jQuery) development (Sencha ExtJS a plus)

MVC Framework: Spring
-
ORM: Hibernate
-
Familiarity with Java DSL Package (jOOQ, QueryDSL and JaQu) a plus

JAX-RS REST framework: Jersey
-
Other supporting technologies such as JBoss, Eclipse, Maven, Junit, Git.
