Scientist (Temporary)
(Selangor - R&D Carey Island)

Responsibilities:

  • He/She will be responsible for establishing/analyzing GIS data and performing ground truth activities.
  • He/She will also be responsible of performing digital image processing of various types of remote sensing data.
  • The position requires working in a team. Successful candidate shall work with people from various backgrounds such as surveyor, planters and agronomist.
  • The successful candidate shall provide geospatial solutions to the company internal and external customer.
  • The successful candidate shall be assess for performance after 6 months and will be considered to be regular employee depending on job vacancy.

Requirements:

  • BSc. in IT, Computer Science or Remote Sensing
  • Fresh Graduate is encouraged to apply
  • Have broad understanding and practical experience in remote sensing and the geospatial industry.
  • Experience in using spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excell.
  • Experience in digital image processing software such as ERDAS, ENVI, PCI.
  • Experience in GIS and mapping software such as ArcGIS, MapInfo.
  • Good problem solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of topographic data processing is a plus.
