Assistant Brand Manager
(Selangor - Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya)

Responsibilities:

Launch of New Product / Line Extension / Repackaging exercise

  • To manage timely launch of new product development - from stock planning, research, pricing strategies, development of commercial launch plan working with the commercial team on the implementation activities and advertising agencies on ATL launch campaign.
 Brand Development
  • Responsible to develop yearly brand marketing plans for assigned brand/brands.
  • Drive brand’s strategies based on strong market analysis, competitors’ analysis and internal portfolio analysis, utilising the BCC tools.
  • To work closely with Senior Brand Manager to set branding guidelines and footprints, utilising the WCE templates and other BCC tools. To adhere and comply to global branding guidelines, where applicable.
  • Relentlessly focus on efficiency and cost by driving GC improvement through value optimisation projects and portfolio planning.
  • Ensure that the pricing/product mix is reviewed and recommending change where appropriate.
  • Monitor performance of segments and brands against contract
  • Managing allocated marketing spend
  • Ensure all brand strategies are underpinned by strong & in-depth consumer understanding
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of the marketing plan and work closely with Sales team to execute the plans.
  • Drive the development of any gap plans by working closely with the Sales team
  • Constant review on campaigns and brands through yearly brand reviews and post campaign reviews to encourage vigorous and continuos learning.
 Marketing Communication
  • Management of external advertising and media agencies relationships to ensure delivery of objectives that are in line with marketing budgets and the brands’ positioning.
  • Work closely with the agencies to come up with winning and differentiated point of awareness supporting the brand communication strategies.
  • To strengthen the brands’ equities by partnering the agencies in the development of communication strategies that drives the delivery of strong yearly marketing brand plans.
  • Collaborate with the POB team by providing overall campaign direction and ensuring the development is in line with overall campaign objectives and brand positioning.
 Market Research
  • Work closely with Consumer Insights team on identifying brands’ research needs
  • Work with Senior Brand Manager- Candy & Gum to propose yearly research plans supporting the need on brand strategy development.
  • To analyse the research findings and insights and turn them into actionable brand plans

Requirements:

  • Candidate must hold a degree of tertiary education preferably in Marketing, Business Administration or Economics.
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Preferably Senior Brand/Marketing Executive from FMCG industry.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and be able to look at issues from different perspectives, strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Energetic, a team player, proven achiever, with strong leadership skills to drive & influence the strategic category agenda.
  • Applicants must be willing to work in Bandar Utama,Petaling Jaya.
