To implement our aggressive business plan in the Asia Pacific region, Petrofac E&C Sdn Bhd has recently opened a new Engineering and Construction office in Kuala Lumpur. Applications are invited for the following position: 

Senior Accounts Officer
Kuala Lumpur - Jalan Tun Razak

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full set of accounting.
  • Prepare monthly closing report and the cost report on project basis and submit to management and head office accurately and timely.
  • To ensure the actual cost incurred to charge to correct project number and actual cost to be incurred within the approved CAPEX and OPEX.
  • Fluent in flow of intercompany transactions and the monthly reconciliation process for supplier’s records and debtor’s records.
  • Ensure supplier invoices and staff claims are paid on time.
  • Review, control and resolve Creditors ledger in any outstanding payables and inherited problem on outstanding.
  • Liaise with and provide financial & operational information for internal and external auditors.
  • Liaison with External Auditor and Tax Agent with respect to Tax submission and filing to Inland revenue Board (IRB).
  • Monitor, provide safe guardian to the monthly Fixed Assets tagging and registration under the company.
  • Manage accounting/bookkeeping works done by accounting staff on journal entries, payment and receipts processing.
  • Looking after Petty cash reimbursement, bank relationship, managing regulatory reporting, fund management and cash-flow forecasting.
  • Provide Cost Analysis report to respective project division.
  •  Review and maintain the departmental standard operating procedure (SOP).
  • To assist in preparation of financial analysis and performance review.
  • To ensure compliance with statutory requirement including audit, taxation, internal control and any other corporate governance.
  •  Develop and supervise a team of staff in handling the day-to-day accounting functions. 

Requirements:

  • Preferably with Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or ACCA/CIMA/MICPA with minimum Level 2 or equivalent qualification 
  • Minimum 7 years relevant working experience in financial accounting, management and experience in project accounting
  • Able to co-ordinate documents flow from different location within a country and outside the country.
  • Hands-on exposure accounting software
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact well with people at all levels.
  • Familiar with Malaysian Accounting Standards and taxation regulations. 
  • Computer literate familiar with Microsoft Excel, Pivot Table and Microsoft Word.
  • Possess good leadership, integrity, communication skills and team spirit.
  • Mature, meticulous, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently.
  • Able to work under pressure and able to handle pressure to meet tight deadline
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
  • Have experience in dealing with service tax and withholding tax
