Manager/AVP, Benefits & HR Systems


Responsibilities:

  • To prepare the yearly personnel budget for the entire Bank.
  • To supervise the compensation & benefit team in their day to day operations
  • To prepare and provide weekly  reports and activities to the Head of HR Operations and Services and the Head of Human Resource Management Division
  • To lead and coach the junior compensation & benefit team members.
  • To provide analytical report relating to payroll and benefit for the Head of Human Resource to facilitate decision making.
  • To review periodically the compensation and benefit policies, process and procedures to ensure that it remains current.
  • To manage working relationship with other departments and business units.
  • To keep abreast with the relevant laws and regulations such BNM, Employment Act, EPF, SOCSO, IR and Income Tax.
  • To keep abreast with HR best practices in compensation and benefit related matters through participation in networking with industry of similar nature.
  • To provide benchmarking report in regard to compensation, reward and benefits periodically to the Head of Human Resource Division.
  • To ensure that the personnel costs are within the budget approved..
  • Responsible to check and ensure that the TAT (turn-around time) for payroll and staff benefit  is within the stipulated service level agreed upon at the management.
  • Responsible to ensure that law and regulations, such as compliance to AMLA/CFT, BNM, Employment Act, etc  are observe at all times.
  • To ensure that weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are accurate and correct to minimize risk and reworking.
  • Responsible to train and coach the junior team member to ensure that they are capable of executing their job effectively.
  • To ensure that payroll and all payment made to the employees and respective parties are accurately and timely.
  • To prepare MANCO and Board paper pertaining to increment & Bonus
  • To provide any related services related to compensation and benefits from time to time upon request by the Head of Department or the Head of Division.
  • To provide proper on boarding to new recruits to ensure that the new recruits are equip with the proper preparation to perform their job.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate degree in Human Resources, Business, Economics, Statistics or related business degrees.
  • Has more than 10 years of experience in Human Resources and has experience in the banking industry.
  • Exposure and trained in compensation and benefits management including preparation of payroll, increment and bonus.
  • Strong understanding on payroll processes and compensation management and has good understanding of income tax rules, EPF, SOCO and Employment Act .
  • Familiar with all types of rewards and benefits in the financial services industry particularly banking.
  • Confidence in producing executive reports and presentations.
  • Working cross-cultural teams and sensitive cultural differences
  • Able to interpret and analyse market data in regards to compensation report.
  • Sharing and influencing best practice with the team members.
  • Good analytical skill.  
  • Good interpersonal relationships.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft office
  • Good English communication and writing skills
