JobStreet IMPACT chalks up blue-chip regional clients
Clinches major regional clients - UOB, Siemens, Shell and Pfizer
Aug 21, 2003

JobStreet.com - Asia's leading online recruitment company - today announced its corporate recruitment solution, JobStreet IMPACT, has garnered new multinational clients like United Overseas Bank, Siemens, Shell Philipinas and Pfizer.

"JobStreet IMPACT, which is targeted at Human Resource managers who view their recruitment role strategically, has in less than two years garnered a total of over 50 multinational clients in this region. What this means is that JobStreet.com is effectively powering all the recruitment sites of these blue-chip companies." said Suresh Thiru, Vice President, Operations, JobStreet.com.

Since its regional launch in March 2001, JobStreet IMPACT has chalked up tremendous response with leading corporations such as Maxis Communications, Hindustan Lever Limited, the Sunway Group, Star Cruises, TVS Motor Limited, Asian Paints Limited, Colgate Palmolive, Caltex and Pfizer deploying this solution.

Suresh adds: "We are pleased that JobStreet.com and our award winning technology, SiVA, is helping these blue-chip companies to attract qualified, talented and high-calibre candidates not only from Malaysia but globally."

The Sunway Group's General Manager, Group Human Resources, Mr Geh Thuan Hooi, says: "We see the Sunway Group's continued investment in JobStreet IMPACT as part of our e-HR initiatives. Sunway has always believed in hiring only the best and JobStreet IMPACT facilitates the process efficiently and with the desired effectiveness. We are one of the pioneer JobStreet IMPACT clients since it was launched in 2001 and have renewed our subscription for 2003."

Siemen's spokesperson says: "Our main concern when we decided to enhance our corporate recruitment site was to integrate proper backend technologies into the process. In this case, after evaluation, we have found JobStreet IMPACT immensely suitable for the purpose as the importance of such technology that can sort applications, arrange interviews and track candidates cannot be emphasised enough. Without JobStreet IMPACT, Siemens will be unable to enjoy the full benefits of online recruitment. So far we are very happy with the responses that we have received."

JobStreet IMPACT client Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp's HR General Manager Joel Esguerra says: "We want to open our recruitment to a wider population and try to reach the deserving ones who are in the provinces. We are also open to applications from individuals not traditionally associated with the oil industry - women and the handicapped, for instance. Having something electronic will give us that reach." His colleague, Jerome Nava, recruitment adviser of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp, adds: "We have hired good people from Quezon and Davao for our main office in Makati through JobStreet.com and also managed to fill vacancies in Palawan and Cebu through e-recruitment. With JobStreet.com, the initial screening of applicants is automated so only those that have met our minimum qualifications are forwarded to us. We don't have to physically go through hundreds of resumes just to get that one right candidate. Online recruitment is the most efficient and cost effective solution to hiring and it is imperative that global companies like Shell use this tool to maintain their advantage in the global arena. With online recruitment, we are able to gain immediate access to the widest possible pool of qualified candidates."

JobStreet IMPACT automates the management of a company's career site on its corporate website. The company's career site can then be the focal point to consolidate job applications that are advertised through traditional newsprint media, online job sites and even employee referrals. This enables the company to ultimately build its own candidates database, accelerate its recruitment and project a good corporate image. This database is integrated with JobStreet.com's award winning resume management system, SiVA, for ease of search and retrieval for future hiring needs.
